Great Seminar in Belgrade: a new phase for Sport MyWAY
This is the beginning of a new phase for Sport MyWAY. And after the first one, represented by the creation of the Handbook “Multisport Approach for Young Athletes”, this Belgrade Seminar represented a great occasion to show the guidelines to Multisport Clubs’ representatives and coaches. And this second day of seminar, if possible, has been even more interesting that the first one.
Flavia Guidotti from CONI opened the event in the morning with a session regarding the European System of Qualifications and their application in our Project, specifying the terminology for the “instructors” that are going to be educated through the programme.
Then, Professor Leko answered several questions coming from the audience, clarifying many aspects of the Sport MyWAY Project. After that, Prof. Novak revealed himself very active in describing the structure of the lessons and in dividing coaches into different groups, one for each participant country. These groups prepared examples of possible Multisport lessons, according to the guidelines of the Handbook. In the afternoon, these examples were shown and shared with others, in a very engaging session.
The general principle that emerged from the afternoon session can be described by a simple motto: “Keep it Simple. Keep it funny. Keep it Multi-oriented”. This is how the lessons will be, and this is why many observations coming from the participants, in particular regarding tests for kids, will represent a precious heritage coming from this event.
Now it is time to go on the field, spreading our Multisport message in different countries. And the success and the engagement that came out from this Seminar make us confident: this is the beginning of a new phase for our Sport MyWAY Project.
